In the day out last week, i spend a few days seeking for the best fit of design material.. The significant of this work seem a challenge to me since it was the first ever i did this project.. Its a design oh Mehrab’s Wall. A new mosque located at brikfields, being excellently effort of my colleague Fairuz and Rashid.. The material comes from some place at Klang Valley. It made by Uzbekistan’s expert, the emboss tile, the gfrc is design with islamic motive..
The Mehrab is medium in size, originally patterned by GFRC islamic motive, but the AJK want something that will impress the new mosque.
The range of tile is shown below :
The tile is come from Inai Design, Marhalim..Its being made purely by Uzbekistan’s expert or crafter. The size comes in various size, but in this project i use 200mm x 200mm. The color can be change as your design character or concept. The pattern is emboss and some of them is sand blastered..
Some of the detail pattern.
The existing mehrab design is pattern by Gypsum Fibre Reinforced Concrete, (GFRC) and it was plain in color (White). The AJK’s of mosque required more emphasis design to impressionate the mehrab.
The concept to enhance the mehrab is by using the decorative handmade tile and the playing of color, the color and the tile was selected into the grennish concept after take accounted the other’s mosque before. The pattern is islamic then blended with green and blue color and some but not to dominant , an orange color.
The design was out in this way to give the AJK a various choices. So they can make selection for the color and pattern they need.
